It is an honor and pleasure to introduce myself.
I’m Lynne Frantz. I moved here with my family in 2006 from Seattle. My
husband, Craig, and my three children, ages 12, 10, and 9, have loved
Spokane since we first set eyes on it!
I come with 14 years experience teaching Spanish all over the country. I've
taught in Washington, DC, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Michigan, the Tri-Cities
and Seattle areas. I have bachelor's degrees in Spanish and history and a
M.A. in education.
I love to travel. I've been to Europe, Central America and South America.
In the spring and throughout the summer, I play softball three times/week
and hope to continue doing so until I'm in a wheelchair! Not being much of
a cook or a crafter, I spend my creative time tearing up my house and
renovating. I love to learn about wiring, building, plumbing, and all
phases of carpentry. It's also fun for me to learn about computers and I've
enjoyed building systems for my daughter and for my boys.
I like to spend time with my students and family. I try to make it to a few
football, basketball and basesball games each year, and I always volunteer
to chaparone dances. I love teaching most, and am excited about my job
at N.C.
Our mission is multi-faceted...
1) Our students will gain an understanding and appreciation for the
language and culture of the Spanish speaking world.
2) Our students will be able to communicate in Spanish in the four
proficiencies of reading, writing, speaking and listening.
3) Our students will be able to use upper level thinking to decode, create
and problem solve.
4) Our students will gain the independent study skills necessary to prove
their aptitude for college level classes.
