On this page I will provide information and links involving the AP Statistics Exam. I will provide more as we progress in the course.

AP-STATS-Copy-of-AP-Exam-Scoring-Worksheet-new.xls This year multiple choice items are score differently-no points are deducted for incorrect or skipped items. This document shows an example of previous scorin and compares it to the new scoring.
Exam Content (from AP Central)
The exam is three hours long and covers a one-semester introductory
non-calculus-based college course in statistics. In Section I of the exam,
students are given 90 minutes to answer 40 multiple-choice questions on a wide
variety of topics. In Section II, they must answer several free-response
questions; each exam contains four to seven open-ended questions designed to be
answered in about 10 minutes each, and a longer investigative task for which 30
minutes is allotted. The following major topics are covered: exploring data
(describing patterns and departures from patterns); sampling and
experimentation (planning and conducting a study); anticipating patterns
(producing models using probability and simulation); and statistical inference
(estimating population parameters and testing hypotheses).
AP Exam Scores
The Readers’ scores on the free-response questions are combined
with the results of
the computer-scored multiple-choice questions; the weighted raw
scores are summed
to give a composite score. The composite score is then converted
to a score on AP’s
5-point scale. While colleges and universities are responsible for
setting their own
credit and placement policies, AP scores signify how qualified
students are to receive
college credit or placement:
