What's for homework this week?

Every 1st-5th grade student at Oakwood is expected to read every night aloud for 20 minutes. Parents are asked to listen (and ask thier child questions about the story as a bonus) and then sign the Read and Respond Sheet. This Read and Respond sheet is then turned in to the reading teacher each day for points. Students who have turned in all their Read and Respond Sheets for the month can earn a FREE mini pizza from Pizza Hut!!

If you have a 3rd-5th grade student: please check your student's agenda each day for the homework assignment.

Homework should take 50 minutes to complete for 3rd graders

60 minutes to complete for 4th graders

70 minutes to complete for 5th graders

Remember that homework is important as it gives students the opportunity to practice what they are learning in class. Thank you for your continued support in your student's learning.
