Tryouts for the 2012 Season
will be held in the Prairie HS gyms on:
August 20th (Mon) 10am -12noon & 5pm-8pm
August 21st (Tues) 10am - 12noon &
5pm-8pm
August 22nd (Wed) 3pm-6pm
PARTICIPANTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE AT
ALL FIVE TRYOUT SESSIONS!

FALL 2012 TRYOUTS--PLEASE READ OVER THE INFORMATION BELOW SO YOU ARE PREPARED!
1. Pick up your "sports packet"
from the Prairie ASB office AS SOON AS
POSSIBLE!!! (This is not
available for download and must be picked up):
2. Complete the list of Athletic
Eligibility Requirements:

PLAYERS WHO MAKE A TEAM &
PRIOR TO FIRST COMPETITION/MATCH:

Meet Academic Eligibility

Purchase ASB Card
-
Pay Participation Fee
-
Complete 10 Practices (2 practices
on the same day will only count as 1 practice in accordance with WIAA
rules)
3. Turn
in your complete sports packet ASAP!!! *The Prairie ASB office must
have your completed packet processed before you are released to participate in
summer athletic opportunities.
In August (the
ASB Office will re-open Monday, Aug 13th) prior to tryouts ALL ATHLETES must
receive clearance for the 2012-2013 school year---This
includes outstanding fines/fees paid, academic eligibility checked, and (if
not already turned in) Sports Packet & current Sports Physical.
4. Start or maintain your
conditioning! Playing volleyball requires stamina and strength. For more
information on summer conditioning contact Coach
Doerfler.
5. While participation in summer
camps/clinics is not required it can be a great way to improve your
volleyball skills and better prepare you for tryouts. Visit our "Spring/Summer"
link for more information. Many local colleges/universities offer high school
level volleyball camps as well. For more information visit their athletic

6. Review the PHS
VOLLEYBALL 2012 CALENDAR
for important dates & times----This includes tryouts, practices, matches,
tournaments, and other important dates. Players selected for a team should
note that all practices, tournaments, and program activities are MANDATORY
unless otherwise stated.
