This is Monika's third year teaching at St. Anne School. She graduated from the University of
Portland (Oregon) in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, an endorsement in
Middle School Mathematics, and a minor in Spanish. She holds current teaching certificates for both
Oregon and Washington, although she does not plan on leaving Seattle any time soon! Monika's
long-term professional goal is to become a principal, and plans to spend all her time in the Catholic
School setting.
Monika's endeavors at St. Anne thus far have included: organizing 2 successful Penny Wars to benefit
students in Guatemala with help from Senora Pilar Griffin, assisting Mr. Paul Kramer with the Sunday
Mass Children's Choir, helping out occasionally with After Care (back in 2008), serving as the Math
Coordinator for the Enrichment Program, and heading up the St. Anne Green Team (established Fall
2009) with the help of Mrs. Sauvage and Mrs. Womac.
She is absolutely thrilled to be working at St. Anne because of the close-knit, service-oriented
community, the talented, compassionate, and hilarious students, and
the young, energetic faculty & staff.
