I graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Communication. After working as an event planner for two years, I
recognized that I had a passion for kids so I switched gears and jumped into
the classroom. I completed my certification and Master in Teaching degree
from Seattle University in the spring of 2009. I worked as a long-term
substitute in Archdiocese for the one year and then finally landed at St. Anne.
This will be my second year at St. Anne and I feel blessed to be a
part of such a caring, dynamic and loving learning community. In addition to
teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband Stephan, reading, playing
soccer and skiing. You might also find me taking my black lab Kaya for a walk!
I believe in facilitating a positive learning community in which all
students feel safe and successful. My goal is to provide multiple
opportunities for each student to demonstrate their learning in unique and
creative ways. Each student is an integral part of the third grade classroom
community and I look forward to developing a dynamic partnership between
parent, student and teacher.
