FIELD TRIPS:

Thursday, May 31st, 2012 - 6th-8th Grades to King Tut Exhibit/IMAX Mummies Movie, at the Pacific Science Center - 9:15-1:30. Permission slip was sent home May 10th - due back May 24th with $12. Uniform dress - bring a completely disposable lunch - walking to and back from the Center.

SPECIAL DETAILS FOR 8th GRADE GRADUATION

8TH GRADE PARENTS: As included in the packet of 8th Grade Materials passed out at the 8th Grade Parents' Meeting in October, the graduation fee of $175 is due on Friday, May 18th. A check can be made payable to St. Anne School and covers: graduation dinner for two parents and the 8th grader, diploma, graduation gown, 8th grade yearbook, all "Fun Day" activities for Tuesday, June 5th, and the May 18th 8th Grade Retreat at Camp Long. Also, for 8th grade parents - service hour forms and final tuition payments are due in the office to Mrs. Bonney. Thank you! Ms. Sturgeon

GRADUATION EVENTS, ACTIVITIES, DETAILS AND MORE:

GRADUATION GOWNS: will be sent home on Monday, June 4th and will require a light, low temperature pressing - the gowns are worn on Thursday, June 7th at the Graduation Mass when 8th graders at 4:30PM will be in Banchero Hall for line-up to be in the church for Graduation at 5PM.

JUNE 4th, MONDAY - last full day of school for 8th grade - PRAYER ASSEMBLY IN MORNING - PARENTS: PLEASE FEEL WELCOME TO ATTEND THIS 8:30AM EVENT WHEN 8TH GRADERS ARE HONORED BY THEIR FIRST GRADE BUDDIES. Last day for the 8th graders to wear their uniforms.

JUNE 5th, TUESDAY - 9:30AM - "FUN DAY" for 8th graders - we are still deciding the event - have your 8th grader come to school by 9:30AM that day - free dress, lunch will be provided. We will return from our activities by 3PM.

JUNE 6th, WEDNESDAY - 9:30AM - GRADUATION PRACTICE IN THE CHURCH - 8th grade dismissed before noon. Girls: Feel free to bring your shoes to be used on Graduation Mass night - June 7th - especially if heels, at both Grad. Mass practices.

5:00PM - GRADUATION DINNER IN BANCHERO HALL - (dinner begins at 6PM) - PICTURES OF 8TH GRADERS - BE DRESSED UP - BOYS, COLLARED SHIRTS WITH SLACKS; GIRLS - KNEE-LENGTH DRESSES. GRADUATES - BRING YOUR PICTURE PACKET IF YOU WANT PICTURES BY KIDS' PHOTOGRAPHY - ORDER PACKET IS ATTACHED.

JUNE 7th, THURSDAY - 9:30AM - GRADUATION PRACTICE IN THE CHURCH - AFFIRMATIONS AT ABOUT 10:15AM (so we can start on time - parents, please come early about 10:10 to get a seat in the church) - 8th grade is dismissed at the conclusion of Affirmations, about noon - final report cards are given to the 8th graders at that time.

4:30PM - GRADUATES IN GRAD. GOWNS IN BANCHERO HALL - PARENTS/FAMILY GO TO CHURCH TO FIND SEATS FOR GRAD. MASS.

5:00PM - GRADUATION MASS IN THE CHURCH WITH A RECEPTION FOLLOWING IN BANCHERO HALL - all Cultural Heritage Projects will be on display in Banchero Hall both Wed. and Thurs. nights - please take them all home at the end of the reception Thursday night.
