About Mrs. Nortness

Hi!  My name is Jeanne Nortness, and I absolutely love teaching!  My husband 
Steve and I have been married for 35 years, and we have two children--
Stephanie (24) and Kyle (21) and one grandchild (a girl born in March 2008).  

I've taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades over the past 15 years, and I am 
looking forward to teaching 6th grade again this year. I am certified to 
teach elementary K-8, physical education K-12, and health education 4-8.

It's a special joy and privilege to teach in a Christian school where we are 
free to teach and speak the truth.

Mission For The Class

I firmly believe that my students are placed in my class by design.  We all 
work together, encouraging each other to be all that God has in mind for us 
to become.  One of my primary jobs is to train Christian leaders--leaders 
who will make a real difference in their homes, churches, communities, and 
the world.  Through solid teaching in the academics, high expectations for 
my students and myself, and a strong commitment and dedication to the Lord, 
my students will become responsible and caring citizens and leaders.
