I am the new Instructional Technology Specialist for the Ferndale School
District. I will be assisting teachers with integrating technology into the
classroom. My role is not to troubleshoot hardware or network issues, but I
can help you get the document camera and projector set up. I am working part-
time and will be available most days from 9am to 1pm unless I have training
scheduled.
A couple of my goals for this year are to establish software approval
committees to expedite software approval and provide software training to
teachers and staff. I just completed the staff training for the WESPaC
gradebook for K-6 teachers.
I would love the opportunity to stop by during a staff meeting at your school
to hear how I can be of assistance in your classroom.
To give you a little background, my husband and I, with our two beautiful
princesses, moved to Bellingham two years ago. My daughters are in 1st and
2nd grade at Happy Valley Elementary.
I attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO for my
undergraduate degree in Middle School Education. I received my Masters in
Technology Education from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. In addition to
my teaching license, I also have my CTE certification. I have taught
middle school language arts/social studies and computers for about 15 years.
I have taught software applications at the adult education level for more
than ten years.
Currently, in addition to working at FSD, I am teaching 6th and 8th grade
social studies, and high school life skills courses for iQ Academy. I also
teach business software courses at Bellingham Technical College.
I look forward to working with you!
