How do I make up work missed while I was absent?

When you are absent, call the office to put in a Homework Request By the end
of the school day. Your teachers will have copies of work that you missed that
day. This will help you to keep up while you have to be gone.

Where can I get copies of work I missed or lost?

There are color-coded folders in the back of the room with copies of handouts.
Always check those folders when you return from an absence. When you are
absent, you are responsible to make up all work that you missed. You have the
same number of days you were gone plus one day; after that the work is counted
as late work. Refer to the Late Work Policy in the Parent Letter to find out
more details.

What should I do if I can't find work listed as missing on my grades?

Check your Block Folder in your cubby. Once it is handed back to you it is
your responsibility to keep it. You should also check the "No-Name"
basket.

When can I re-take tests?

You can re-take tests before or after school, or sometimes during SSR time on
Fridays. Discuss it with me to set up a time. You are responsible to set up
a time to make up the test within the absent work guidelines: the number of
days you were gone plus one day. After that, it is too late, so make up
missed tests rights away.

What is the late work policy?

One day late is minus 10%. 2-7 days late is minus 50%. 1 - 2 weeks late work
is only accepted after teacher, parent and student agreement. No further late
work accepted after mid-quarter progress reports go home.
