Homework

READ for at LEAST 25 minutes every night!
Several students are not doing their home reading every night; it is critical that this happens.  The assumption is that by this point in the year, students should have completed at least three-four books.  If a student is extremely busy one night, then it is fine to "catch up" with more reading on a different night.  Overall, students should be reading an average of five or more nights a week for 25+ minutes.  Students keep a reading log in class that shows the books that they are completing (both in class and at home).  

Students do not have a lot of other block homework, and that is intentional.  The MOST important task they have for Block is to be reading.  Thank you for your help with this.
