Robotics Club News

On December 4, 2010 at Lincoln High School in Tacoma, the Woodbrook Wildcats competed in a First Lego League Robotics competition.

Students were judged in four events-

  • Research a biomedical engineering need and provide information to judges in the form of a skit, song, etc.
  • Robot Design
  • Teamwork
  • An Obstacle Course that the robot must maneuver

The students from Woodbrook:

Autumn Gittenger, Cora Tucker, Stephen Lemaster, Nate Harley, Jonathon Clark and Irish Manalang

They had only a few weeks to prepare.

They performed a skit about a chip that could be placed in helmets to help doctors diagnose brain damage and received a score of 95 for their obstacle course!!
