Please remember that homework calendars are now part of this teacher
website. The link is listed at the bottom.
Please also take time to help and/or look over your child's homework. I have
gotten MANY assignments back full of mistakes that could have been easily
corrected with the help of a parent. This help time also allows you to see
what skills your child is having trouble with. Homework assignments should
also NOT be done with or by an older sibling. This isn't always the best
match. Try and have only a parent or guardian assist in written homework
assignments. Remember to also have your child write their name on their
assignments and work in pencil ONLY!
Our 2nd writer's celebration will take place on Thursday, January 26 and
Friday, January 27th. I will be sending home a copy of your child's "How to"
book so they may practice as home. Some students may also need to collect
the props needed to present their "How to" story to the class. I have access
to a microwave if needed, but not much else. So, start thinking ahead. Your
child's assigned date will come home tomorrow, January 17th. Each child will
present in front of the classroom.
