Dear Parents/Guardians:
Jefferson High School is offering students who need or want extra support an environment where they can study without distractions and have teachers available to guide their progress. The Eagle Study meets Monday through Thursday after school from 3:15-4:15. This opportunity is now open to all JHS students.
There are two ways students can participate in The Eagle Study. Faculty may identify students who are candidates for this intervention, and recommend this opportunity directly to the student and/or the parent/guardian through a referral. The second way students can become involved is by voluntarily signing up ahead of time. Students are allowed to attend The Eagle Study to work on group projects or receive one-on-one tutoring. Please note, this is not meant to be a study hall; this is an opportunity for students to boost their achievement by getting the help they need.
The main objective behind The Eagle Study is to help students with homework completion and study skills, thus improving grades to reduce the risk of failure. It is Jefferson High School's goal to help all students have a successful school year and establish a pattern of success to last throughout their high school years.
We all look forward to working with you and your child as we work toward the common goal of making their dreams come true.
Sincerely,
Ms. Julie Paucek
The Eagle Study Coordinator
