January News 2012

Hello everyone and welcome back to 2012! We have just completed second quarter...it is hard to believe that we are half way through the school year! The fifth graders have been working so hard and I am very proud of them! We have a busy end of January and month of February. Catholic School's Week is January 30th-February 3rd and you should have received a packet with information of all of the events
Next week, January 25th, we will be going skiing at Mt. Ashwabay! 

In Math we are finishing up graphing and moving onto double and triple numeral multiplication. We have been practicing our prayers and the cardinal virtues in Religion. We continue to practice our spelling and writing skills everyday. We are already starting our fourth research paper. We are exploring important American History timelines in Social Studies and preparing to learn about animal growth and the study of heredity in Science. We are reading in small groups and have just completed reading books that we will be making video "trailers" for....coming soon! :)
