I have been teaching at S.J.B. for over 30 years. I have taught a
variety of levels from Grade 4 through 8. I am happy to be back where I
started "many moons" ago, in my original classroom teaching Junior High
Science. This year I am also teaching 6th & 7th grade History.
I am happy to be the 8th grade homeroom teacher this year and
hopefully we will have a lot of fun.
I also am continuing to work with Mrs. Faith Albert, who has a Fine
Arts degree, on the S.J.B. art program. I feel that this has been very
successful program and an asset to our school. We participate in three major
art displays around Sheboygan County. Last year we had several art pieces
entered in the "Helen Meirs" art contest followed by some entries sent on to
the state competition.
I have been married for 43 years (yes 43! That is not a typo) and my
husband is a right-of-way agent for the gas and oil industry. I have two
wonderful daughters (Stacy and Krystal), two great son-in-laws (Patrick and
Lee). I also have 3 awesome grandchildren (Harrison, Cora and Leo). I love
animals , therefore I have 1 cat and 2 dogs (and a turtle named Ralfina).
I enjoy reading, writing, doing art, fishing and spending time with my
animals, family and especially my grandchildren.
This year I will be teaching 6, 7, and 8th grade science, 6 & 7th grade
history and monitoring the art program. Art and science are both "hands-on"
classes, and I hope to give the students some exciting experiences. History
classes will be discovering the ancient world and the building of our great
country, the United States. It should be an enjoyable year for all of us.
I truly love my job and the children at S.J.B. This is a wonderful
place to teach and I cannot think of anything else I would rather be doing.
Let's make this a banner year!!
