Written nightly homework does not begin until near the end of September. Most
nights children have written homework in Math-HOMELINKS and/or a Phonics
reinforcement activity. Every night some time should be allotted for Math
fact practice or Spelling practice and shared reading time.
Learning responsibility takes time. If a child does not return homework the
following day, they are directed to remember it the next day. DO NOT BRING
HOMEWORK TO SCHOOL THAT WAS LEFT AT HOME. There never is homework on a Friday
or on an early release Wednesday.
