What is the best way to contact Mr. Andersen?
The best ways are to e-mail or call him (862-2356). He will
quickly return
all e-mails or phone calls.
What is the best way to find out my student's grades?
The best ways are to check the Skyward website, look in the
Wednesday
folder, or e-mail Mr. Andersen.
What is my students schedule?
Look in the schedule section of Mr. Andersen's website.
What time does the school day start and finish?
The school day begins at 7:45 AM and finishes at 2:46 PM.
What if my child has a missing assignment?
Contact Mr. Andersen,and he can get a copy of the missing
assignment to your
child.
What if my child doesn't do a homework assignment?
The student will be given an after-school homework detention, and
the bus
will take him or her home at 3:50.
What time does my child eat lunch?
In 6th grade, the students eat lunch at 11:30, and the 7th and
8th grade eats lunch
at 10:47.
What are the specials for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students?
The three specials are Spanish, Art, and Computers.
Is there Physical Education everyday in middle school?
Yes, the students have P.E. everyday.
Does my child need a uniform?
Yes, every 6th, 7th, and 8th grade student needs an uniform.
Does the IEP progress report need to be signed and returned?
No, the school has a copy of the progress report.
Is there an IEP meeting each year?
Yes, Mr. Andersen will contact the parents or guardians, and
there is always
a yearly meeting to see if a change should be made to the IEP.
Should my child attend the IEP meeting?
Yes, Mr. Andersen would like to see each student at the yearly
IEP meeting.
Why should my student attend the IEP meeting?
It is important to receive feedback from the student, and to make
sure the
proper decisions are made for that student.
When does the softball season begin?
Practice begins the 1st week of school, and games begin a week
and an half
later.
How many games are in the softball season?
The season is five games long, and usually ends at the end of
September or
early October.
What happens if we finish in 1st or 2nd place?
There will be a 2 game playoff against the Western Conference.
Do the students get lockers in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade?
The students get a locker for their class and for P.E. class.
When are parent teacher conferences?
They are held after the 1st and 2nd quarters.
Where is Mr. Andersen located during the conferences?
He is located in the Trevor Library both nights.
