My name is Sue Pigney. I live in Trevor with my husband of 25 years.
We have three children. Josh (22) works and goes to school at Herzing
University in Madison majoring in Gaming Design, Meghan (20) is a junior at UW
La Crosse majoring in Clinical Laboratory Studies and minoring in Chemistry
and Microbiology and Jenna (18) is a senior at Wilmot High School. She plays
volleyball and is involved in music. My family and I love to spend time
together, camp, travel (we have vacationed in all but three states) and loved
our trip to the Dominican Republic this past summer.
I have been teaching in various capacities for seventeen years. I received
my Bachelors from Benedictine University and my masters in Elementary
Education from National Louis University. Every year I continue to update my
education with skill blocks that are offered by the district as well as
college classes to enhance my learning. I recently completed two college
classes which I enjoyed thoroughly. This is my fifth year teaching and love to
instill the "love of learning" in children. I look forward to a successful
year with you and your student this year.
My classroom mission is in conjunction with the school's mission
of: "Together with families and community, our mission is to create a student-
centered comprehensive learning environment fostering personal and academic
excellence."
Our reading, writing and math groups are very flexible and are arranged by
developmental levels or interests. These can groups change frequently.
