Top Text Title: Top Text: Susan B. Anthony died in 1906, long before the passage of the 19th amendment, but for the purposes of this project, we will make-believe that she did survive to see the passage of the amendment. In 1872 Anthony tried to claim that the constitution already permitted women the right to vote and went on to cast a test vote in the Rochester, New York presidental election. She worked closely with Elizabeth Cady Stanton and fought for women's rights until the day she died. Links Section Title:
