RORSCHACH

In the story, "Flowers for Algernon" the main character, Charlie Gordon, had to take a Rorshach test. This test is more commonly known as the Inkblot Test. The Rorschach Test was developed by a Swiss psychiatrist named Hermann Rorschach. This test was designed to determine personality traits by interpreting the subject's responses to inkblot images.

The theory behind the test is that the test taker's spontaneous or unrehearsed responses reveal deep secrets or significant information about the taker's personality or innermost thoughts.

Instructions:

1. Pick 3 of the following inkblots and decide what each looks like to you.

2. Write your responses on your "Personality or Intelligence" worksheet.
