Process

As a group, read the two mystery genre sites. Pay close attention to the
tips for writing.

Choose your mystery genre.

Using the plot graphic organizer, divide your story into the four parts
(jobs).

As you work, you will each develop a Mystery Vocabulary list (words that
work well with the mystery genre). Examples would be: malevolent,
acquitted, surreptitiously. Each list will be handed in with the story for
a grade. You will use the class vocabulary sheet to record your words.

Once your graphic organizer is complete, set up a time with me for a writing
conference appointment.

You may then begin writing your story. Be sure to check your individual job
pages for internet help sites.

Put your name on the Help Wanted board should you need my assistance.
