Teaching is in my blood. My dad taught English at Wheeling High/Wheeling
Park High School for many, many years. I always admired his knowledge and
love of literature and his enormous vocabulary, and I wanted to follow in
his footsteps. Now, I dedicate my teaching to my dad. I know he is
watching over me and showering me with his wisdom so that I can pass it on
to my students.
I graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2003 with degrees in English
Literature and Psychology, as well as my teacher certification. I began my
teaching career as a substitute in Ohio County before joining the staff at
Central in 2004. I love sharing my enthusiasm and joy of reading with my
students!
On a more personal note, I have been married since August 12, 2000, to my
college sweetheart Jason, and we live in Wheeling with our dog Duke. In my
free time, I like to read, watch TV and movies, listen to country music, and
cheer on the Steelers!
