Welcome to our Prattville Intermediate School family. Have you noticed our updated look both inside and out? It is our hope that these changes will enhance the learning environment for our students. In addition to our cosmetic changes, we have made many changes in our faculty and staff. We welcome Mr. Aaron Brown, III as our new leader. He has great things in store for our PI family. We also welcome Mrs. Joy Brownell as secretary, Mrs. Sheridan Cahoon as school counselor, Ms. Emily Jordan as special education aide, Ms. Michelle Bostic as speech therapist and Ms. Darlene Boatfield, Mr. Adam Jones and Ms. Teresa Gentry to our lunchroom. We have several returning teachers in new rolls this year as well. Congratulations to Mrs. Jennifer (Gallisini) Caradori on her recent marriage. Our faculty and staff are ready to work with you to make this a wonderful year for your child here at PI.

Open House was a great success. Thank you for showing such an interest in your child's education. Working together, we will make this your child's best academic year ever. Our school is always open for parents to visit and to get involved. We encourage you to have lunch with your child when you can. The menu is posted on our website. Our teachers need volunteers throughout the year to assist with activities such as various classroom projects and field trips. These are just a few of the opportunities that are available to you. We appreciate all of the parents who volunteered to help with lockers for our fifth graders.

Other areas where we need your help include not only listening to your child read, but reading to your child as well. Reading is extremely important. Also, discussing your child's school work, homework and projects are ways to stay actively involved. This emphasizes to your child the importance of being accountable for their work and doing their best.

We want to keep the line of communication open between school and home. Please feel free to contact your child's teacher or the office with any questions you may have. Our school phone number is 361-3880.
