Homework

Wednesday, February 15--Today we reviewed what was read with the substitute
yesterday and answered questions in conjunction with the reading. No homework.

Tuesday, February 14--Happy Birthday Arizona! Students read the newspaper
about the beginnings of the Roman Empire. No homework.

Monday, February 13--Today we watched AZ Smith Rome.  No homework.

Friday, February 11--Today we worked on the map of Italy. No homework.

Thursday, February 10--Today we learned about the geography and climate in
Italy. No homework.

Wednesday, February 9--Today we worked on our maps of Italy. No homework.

Tuesday, February 8--Today we began learning about the geography of Rome. No
homework.

Monday, February 6 and Tuesday, February 7--Today we watched the movie
Hercules.  Students who were missing work or needed to retest used this time
to do those things.  Homework is to complete any missing assignments.

Friday, February 3--Today we used the Time Machine to bring back artifacts
from Greece. No homework.

Thursday, February 2--Test on Greece.

Wednesday, February 1--Today we reviewed for our test tomorrow.

Tuesday, January 31--Today students completed their study guides and created a
study packet in preparation for the TEST ON THURSDAY! We will also be having a
VOCABULARY QUIZ TOMORROW.  STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!!

Monday, January 30--Today we finished learning about Alexander the Great and
the Hellenistic Age.  Homework is to complete worksheet on Alexander the Great.

Friday, January 27--Today we reviewed the Golden Age of Greece and began
learning about Alexander the Great.  No homework.

Thursday, January 26--Today we finished the Trojan war and also learned about
the Olympics.  Many students still have missing work.  Please check if your
child has any missing assignments and make sure they turn those in.

Tuesday and Wednesday, January 24 and 25--Today we learned about the Trojan
war.  Here is a great website to listen to the story of the Trojan war.
Homework is to complete missing work.

Monday, January 23--Today was a makeup day.  We went over what assignments
were missing for each student.  We also went on a virtual field trip to the
Acropolis. Homework is to complete missing work.


Tuesday, January 17 - Friday, January 20:  This week I had a family emergency
and had a sub for the week.

Friday, January 13, 2012-Today there was a substitute.  Students worked on
their postcards.  Postcards are due on Tuesday, January 17.

Thursday, January 12, 2012-Today we went over the postcard project and all its
requirements.  Homework: student are to write a rough draft copy of their
postcard letter and write down their mailing address.

Wednesday, January 11, 2012--Today we began learning about the first Olympics
and the Persian Wars. Homework is WB 60.  I had a change of plans.  I lost my
voice so we watched a video on the Greek gods.  Homework is to correct the
continents and oceans quiz, and WB p. 60.

Tuesday, January 10, 2012--Today we compared and contrasted Sparta and Athens.
Homework is workbook p. 62.

Monday, January 9, 2012--Today we watched the AZ Smith video on Ancient
Greece. No homework.

Friday, January 6, 2012--Today we finished learning about the geography and
worked on the vocabulary associated with Greece. We also had a pop quiz on the
continents and oceans. No homework.

Thursday, January 5, 2012--Today we began learning about the geography and
climate of Greece and how that affected the civilization of ancient Greece. 
No homework.

Wednesday, January 4, 2012--Today we watched a video about the first
civilization in ancient Greece. No homework.

Tuesday, January 3, 2012--Today we learned how to find Greece on any world map. 
Homework is to complete the map on Greece and color it.  It is due tomorrow
and neatness and spelling count.
