Tech Club

Tech Club Fall 2006

Who:
The Tech club is open to boys and girls of any age who are interested in PC
computers.

Mission:
We provide a safe and friendly place for people to gather.
We maintain the computers in room E8.
We fix other computers in classrooms and PODS as the need arises.
We use computers to interact in a network environment at lunch in room E8.

Where and When
The official Tech club meeting is at Casa Grande High School,
room E8, Friday at lunch.
Build days are also in room E8 from 3:30 pm to 5:30 p.m on Thursday
afternoons.

Officers:
The president, vice president and treasurer are elected every year.
Come to the meetings on Fridays to find out who they are this year.

Build Day Policy:
If you show up you will learn something about computers.
You do not have to attend every Thursday.
If you want to fix your own computer at a build day, you must have written
permission from your parents or guardian to bring it in.
You must give Mr. Mander advance notice.
You must bring it to room E8 in the morning before school and lock it up.
NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!
We try very hard to ensure the security of private computer equipment but we
are not responsible for lost or stolen computers or parts.

Fees:
If you are just here to hang out, there is no fee. If you want to
participate in the network environment, it costs $10.00 per semester.
Fees go for hardware upgrades and special Tech Club events.

Tech Club Float
The Tech club builds a float every year for the Home Coming parade.
The float is a rolling LAN party built on a 14 foot flat bed truck towing a
5000 Watt generator on a trailer behind it. The float features 8 computers
networked together, a 32 inch TV with Dance Dance Revolution pads, and free
hot chocolate while we wait during 1/2 time. Last year we had 12 people on
the float.
