Our Character Counts character for November - December is CARING!
If you would like to send in a treat for the class on your child's
birthday: Please send it with your child in the morning to be distributed to
the class at 10 A. M. recess. It should be a healthy snack, such as,
fruit, cheese and crackers, low-fat muffins. It can also be a non - edible
treat, such as a pencil or highlighter. Please do not send in drinks unless
they are in individual containers that students can just pick up on their way
out the door. Thanks!

We are finishing up our Science Unit on Matter. Ask your child to tell
you about how matter has mass and takes up space. We have also learned about
the physical properties of matter: color, shape, size, texture, hardness,
temperature, and flavor. In addition, we are beginning to learn about the
three states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. Ask your child to tell you
about the atoms of solids, liquids, and gases. In addition, we have learned
the difference between physical changes in matter and chemical changes. Ask
your child to share what he/she has learned about this.
