Each week a student is chosen to be "Student Spotlight". We simply go in
alphabetical order according to first names. By the end of the year every
student has had a week to be recognized for the special person they are.
The Student Spotlight will receive a poster to take home and decorate. The
poster will come back to be posted on their special bulletin board. Special
ribbons or photos may also go on the bulletin board. The Student Spotlight
will get to sit at a special desk and in a special chair. If your child has
any trophies or a special stuffed animal, it may stay on their special desk
for the week.
Throughout the day the Student Spotlight leads us in prayer, and in the
morning the class gives the Student Spotlight a special blessing each day.
The Student Spotlight may bring a share for each day of their week. If it
is an animal please make arrangements with me ahead of time. If you would
like, the Student Spotlight may bring a special treat to share with the
class. But remember this is not required!
We will take the first month to orient everyone to the procedures of the
classroom before beginning "Student Spotlight" and names and dates of the
week for each student will be posted on this page if you would like to check
ahead.
It is such a joy to give each little one a special week of their own to
really shine and help the rest of us get to know each of them better. The
class really looks forward to hearing all the details that help to make your
little one special and unique!
