CHALLENGE!

What are these challenges for?

FUN, of course! If this isn't your idea of fun, ignore them; they're TOTALLY optional! You may find that you also learn something in the process. You will certainly exercise a few neurons (brain cells) and besides the GLORY of earning Germeraad Challenge Points, some challenges will involve other prizes as well.

CHALLENGE #2  BE THE FIRST TO FIND A TYPO IN MY HANDOUTS OR IN THE BOOK
 
Find an indisputable typographic (or other...yikes!!) error in one of Mrs. G's handouts or in the textbook.  Be the first to report it to earn the point.
 
Earn 1 Challenge Point.
 
CHALLENGE #3  METRIC UNITS AT THE GROCERY OR HARDWARE STORE
 
Find a product at a grocery store or hardware-type store that uses a metric unit with the prefix hecto, deka or deci. Write down the product name and the unit...if you have a camera (cell phone with camera?) with you, take a picture to share.  Expires January 15.
 
Earn 2 Challenge Points.

CHALLENGE #4 HAS EXPIRED ENTER AN ART CONTEST (Not Science, you say? It's color and light! GREEN?)

A haiku is a special kind of poem that uses just a few words to tell a
story and make a thought-provoking connection between two ideas.

    Here's how to enter:
