Message from the Principal

Thank you for visiting Quail Lake Charter School's website. Quail Lake is a K-8 school located north of Sanger and east of Clovis. The 2008-09 school year marks the beginning of the school's ninth year. Quail Lake's motto, "A School of Academic Excellence," is reflective of our vision. The school has experienced tremendous academic growth over the past eight years, raising State Test scores every single year or remaining at a high status. Currently, our enrollment is over 500 students and the word is out about Quail Lake! If you are looking for a rigorous and safe academic environment for your child, please contact the school office. Since we are a charter school, we do not have attendance boundaries and are an "open enrollment" school. Once again, thank you for visiting our website. We are very proud of our school and its community. If you are in the area, stop by and say hello. We would love to show you all of the wonderful things happening at Quail Lake Charter School.

RED ZONE PARKING AND OTHER SCHOOL PROTOCOL ISSUES
WE APPRECIATE ALL OUR FALCON FAMILY SUPPORT. THE RULES, REGULATIONS, AND GUIDELINES ARE DESIGNED TO KEEP THE SCHOOL RUNNING SMOOTHLY
**RED ZONE PARKING**Please remember that if you stop in a red zone at school, you must stay with your vehicle. This is ESPECIALLY important during drop-off and pick-up times before and after school. Parking is ALWAYS A CHALLENGE, and we need to be as efficient and curteous as possible with the minimal space we have. Also, please make every effort to NOT BLOCK the wheel chair ramp by the main office entrance as we have need for use of this ramp on a regular and daily basis. **BUS ZONES**In the Parking Lot, from the Gate Opening in front of the office to the Gate Opening in front of the MPR, the space between MUST REMAIN CLEAR for the BUSES. **ATTIRE ON CAMPUS**During the warmer weather, please remember to dress appropriately to be around children. The kids look to the adults for guidance. Let's show our kids how great attire coordination can be. **MARKED PARKING SPACES**If you are not the person for whom the designated parking space is marked, PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE SPACE. Your continued cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated. **PARENT VISITORS ON CAMPUS** If you are planning to visit the campus for ANY reason: visit the classroom, volunteer in the classroom, help with Art Project or Music Programs, have lunch with your students, and so on, you need to sign in at the office PRIOR to proceeding to your intended destination. This rule is not only a school guideline, it is a county mandate for all Fresno County Schools. ALL VISITORS MUST SIGN IN AT THE OFFICE. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office. **THANK YOU FALCON FAMILIES FOR MAKING QUAIL LAKE SUCH A GREAT AND CONTINUED SUCCESS!**

PLASTIC BAG RECYCLING
QUAIL LAKE RECEIVES $5 FOR EVERY 60-GALLON CONTAINER FILLED
This program will continue for the upcoming school year as well! Please bring your plastic bags to be part of the Kids Recycling Challenge sponsored by Wal-Mart. Quail Lake receives $5 per container filled! The more we turn in, the more money we get! The drive will continue throughout the summer. OH! And by the way, did you know that Quail Lake currently recycles about 400 lbs. of paper and about 275 lbs. of cardboard every month? WAY TO GO FALCONS! Keep up the wonderful work!

QUAIL LAKE UNIFORM POLICY
ALL PATTERNS and LOGOS LARGER THAN 2 INCHES ARE NOT ALLOWED
The weather is getting hot again and that means SHORTS! Please remember that shorts cannot be any shorter than 6" above mid-knee. Please remember that sandals are not authorized uniform attire either. School is almost over for the year, hang in there and keep up the good work!
