        Read Section 1, T-Notes, and worksheet section 1 due tomorrow

Tuesday, November 18

 	Collect Section 1
        Read, “The Lawmakers”, highlight key terms and phrases and complete 
        exercise. 
        Read, “Understanding the Constitution:  The Legislative Branch” 
        packet.
 	Talk about how a bill becomes a law with role play.

Wednesday, November 19

 	I will present from American Story, “Plan for a Capital” on pg. 57 
        and “The Portrait” on page 60.
 	Together we will look at “Laws are Made, Not Born” and complete 
        exercise.

Thursday, November 20

 	Discussion on “Your Role as a Citizen.”
        Read Section 2, T-Notes, and Worksheet due tomorrow

Friday, November 21

 	Collect Section 2
        “You Be The Jury” simulation with cases 1-3.

Monday, November 24

 	Hand out Judicial Branch packet
        Read together
 	Students read Section 3, T-Notes, and work on homework packet
        Section 3 Worksheet due tomorrow

Tuesday, November 25

 	Section 3 Worksheet collected
        Hand out Executive Branch packet
 	Read together
 	Students work on homework packet

Monday, December 1

 	Read Sections 4 and T-Notes
        Section 3 Worksheet due tomorrow
 	Hand out checks and balances worksheet
 	If time, role play with students the powers of each branch

Tuesday, December 2

 	Section 4 Worksheet collected
        Review diagram of “How a Bill is Passed”.
 	Look at “America’s History Makers”
 	Students will answer review questions

Wednesday, December 3

 	Review what we have learned
 	Work on review of study guide and prepare for test Friday.
