•We will begin subtraction this week. It is important that the children get
the idea of beginning with “the whole”(the biggest number) and breaking it
into the parts. It is the opposite of addition. Stay tuned for an upcoming
math facts test. Start with concrete items such as Legos, beads etc… to
illustrate the concept with your child. Tuesday will be the start date.
•We still need 16 shoe boxes for our environments activity.
•The few children who brought in seasons pictures last week for our activity
will be rewarded with a homework pass for participation. Thank you to those
families for helping your child with this activity.
•Just a reminder that homework is due daily signed and Reading Logs are due
every Friday. By now you should not need reminders!
