~"MY DAY IN COURT" ESSAY CONTEST WINNERS!
Congratulations to Sydney G., Sarah M., & Tim A., for their winning "My Day in Court" essays, submitted after the Mojave Courthouse field trip. This field trip and the subsequent essay contest are sponsored by our local Tehachapi Optimist Club for 6th-8th graders. Each winning student will be a guest of the Tehachapi Optimist Club at their luncheon at Kelcy's, be given the opportunity to read their essay to the club members, and receive a $50.00 savings bond.

Valerie Walker's student, Reid J., and Shelley Prestage's student, Andrew K., have won the drawings for the Back-to-school Box Top turn-ins. They will each receive a $10.00 gift certificate to the ice cream shop of their choice! Thanks to all of the teachers for encouraging your students to save and turn in box tops.
