 Request: Student’s Enrichment Schedule & TA Assignments
Parents before enrichment this Friday, please write down your child's schedule on a 3 X 5 card and have them carry the card with them during the enrichment day. We had many students unsure of their next class last enrichment session and this gives our team the opportunity to help them find their classes. Also, ALL students signed up as teacher's assistants are asked to report to room A first thing to receive their name tags and room assignments.
The Scholastic Book Fair Is Here!
Discover a World of Reading by coming to our first Book Fair in Room C! The Book Fair starts Monday, November 2nd and runs through Friday, November 6th. We have a great selection of books ranging from preschool through adult best sellers for immediate purchase. There will be several contests throughout the week with great prizes including pencils, erasers, posters and gift certificates for books to expand your library! Every day is a different contest so be sure to come by and check it out.
The Book Fair will be open daily with two nights available for those who cannot attend during the day. Come join us Wednesday evening for our Pajama Night! If you wear your pajamas, you get an extra raffle ticket! Bring your pillow and blanket and even your teddy bear to Ms. Dragomanovich’s Bedtime Stories Wednesday starting at 6p.m. Oh, and it's BYOC--bring your own cookies! We'll provide the drinks. We will follow the Storytime format of the first half hour listening to stories and then students can get up and share a favorite book from the Book Fair and tell the audience why they like it. New Updated! Enrichment Session 2 Schedule
Parents will be notified by phone by November 4th ONLY if we could not enroll your child due to limited class size. All others will be automatically enrolled in the classes of choice. There will be no enrichment class rosters posted at our school.
Closed classes: Music & Rythm, Word, Maps & Migration (both), Art & Drawing. If you would like to enroll your child in a class after the Online Enrollment period ends, please contact the instructor of the individual class by email. Addresses are on the Contact Us page on the left menu bar. Instructor’s names are on the Enrichment Schedule and Descriptions.

We have an exciting and safe way to share VOCS Tehachapi school pictures from workshops, fieldtrips, and activities. This site features albums from 2005-06 school years to the present. Also, parents are able to now post comments and download photos to your personal computer. Ask for the password from your resource teacher, and then go to www.valleyoaks.shutterfly.com enter the password, and then click ok. If you would like to order prints, you will need to sign-up with Shutterfly and order copies or just enjoy the viewing a slideshow.
Return All Library Books ASAP
Please return all library books as soon as possible. The VOCS Tehachapi library in room B/C will be closed for a short time to reorganize. As soon as library check out is available we will let you know on the NewsFlash.
