SUMMER READING 2008

Get caught up in the Summer Olympics and become a Reader Olympian this 
summer!

Athletes from all over the world will compete this August in the Summer
Olympic games.  These world class athletes achieved their success through 
hard work, practice, dedication and commitment. You can become a world class 
reader by following the example of these athletes:  practice, work hard,
dedicate your time and commit to reading.

at the public library.
Scholastic BookFlix is a new online literacy resource that pairs classic 
video storybooks from Weston Woods with related nonfiction eBooks from
Scholastic to build a love of reading and learning. The engaging way to link
fact and fiction, BookFlix reinforces early reading skills and introduces
children to a world of knowledge and exploration.

Book Adventure is a great site to locate books that are on your reading level
AND you can take short quizzes on books to make sure that you understood what
you read.  The program will also keep track of what you read and award points
