Hello, my name is Andrea Litvack. The 2007 - 2008 school year will be
my second year of teaching at Janney. I love getting to see my students
each day. It is enjoyable to watch them grow academically and socially
throughout the year. I know that children are always curious about their
teacher’s lives outside of school, so I would like to share some information
about myself.
I grew up in Long Island, New York. My parents still live in the
house I grew up in and take care of my 3 cats I left at home when I moved to
Washington DC. I have one older sister, Jacki who lives in Connecticut with
her husband and the most adorable little girl, my niece Talia. I try to go
to NY and CT as much as I can to see my family. My family and our
traditions are very important to me.
I attended SUNY Oneonta where I received my bachelor degree in Child and
Family Studies with a minor in Early Childhood. After graduation I went to
work as a teacher's aide in the Garden City Public Schools. While working
as a full time aide in inclusion classrooms I attended CW Post, Long Island
University, where I received a Masters Degree in Childhood Education.
I live in Dupont Circle with my fiancé... (so in March I will become
Mrs. Stock) and our two cats, Cayman and Rosie.
I will do my best to ensure that my students are learning new things and
improving upon the things they already know each day. Most importantly, I
want my students to enjoy coming to school each day.
