VERB CONJUGATION

1. You MUST, MUST, MUST memorize your pronouns.
2. You MUST memorize what the infinitive verb means
3. You MUST memorize whether it’s an -ar, -er, or -ir verb
4. How do you get the stem of the verb
5. How do you conjugate the verb once you get the stem 
6. How do you choose what endings to put on once you get the stem 
7. You need to memorize if it is a REGULAR or OTHER-type of verb.  
    
Examples: 1) stem-changing e to ie; o to ue – QUERER (to want, to love), JUGAR
(to play – a game or sport).
                  2) a verb that has IRREGULAR FORMS – IR (to go), SER (to be).
                  3) a verb that’s only different in the YO form -  VER (to
see, to watch), ESTAR (to be).

Conjugate the verbs listed below (include the pronouns):

Regular Present tense endings are as follows:

-AR verbs: o, as, a, amos, áis, an

-ER verbs: o, es, e, emos éis, en

-IR verbs: o, es, e, imos, ís, en  (Note: -ER and –IR verbs have very similar
endings.  
(For –IR verbs, the “i” is maintained only in the nosotros/as and vosotros/as
forms.)
