Hola = Hello!
This is my ninth year at MSD.
I attended the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut and
graduated with a B.A. in Spanish.
My junior year abroad was spent attending New York University's program in
Madrid, Spain.
The summer of 2002 I returned to Spain and studied at the University of
Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain.
On New Year's Day 2005, both I and my daughter had the pleasure of visiting
Guatemala City, Guatemala specifically to visit the family of my children's
nanny, Maria. What a fabulous trip! I have created a Power Point
presentation of pictures of the family of Maria that you will see when we
study the chapter on family.
In 2006 my whole family - mi esposo (my husband), mi hijo (my son) y mi hija
(my daughter) - returned to Guatemala to attend Ivana's 15th birthday
celebration called a quinceanera. You can be sure my camera was there
with me so that I have fond memories of the fiesta to share with you!
Once again at the end of 2006 "mi esposo" and I returned to Guatemala to
spend Chrismas with Maria's family. Once again I had camera in hand and "yo
tengo muchas fotografias" to share with you! (I have many photographs).
The summer of 2006 mi hijo Richard y yo (my son Richand and I) went to
Spain. Do you think my camera went on the trip? More photos to share of
Madrid, Toledo, Salamanca, Avila y Segovia.
During the summer of 2007, mi esposo Bob y yo (my husband Bob and I) went to
Spain, Portugal, Belguim and England - yes, more "fotos".
The summer of 2008, mi esposo y yo viajamos por California empezando en San
Franciso y terminando en Los Angeles.
My classroom is Rm 911.
Periods taught are 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th.
