What is the Superstars Club?
The Superstars Club is an idea that originated from Mrs. Renz "Mastery Club". The purpose of this club is to mentally challenge students to go above and beyond their regular learning experiences in the classroom.
How can you participate?
You are invited to participate in the Superstars Club (SC) during free time, as a reward, or when you finish your work early. Make sure you write your answer on a sheet of paper with your name on it so you can receive credit. Once in the Superstars Club, all you have to do is choose a subject, then a topic challenge, learn everything you can about each topic challenge, come up with an answer, and record it in your SC notebook. Topic challenges do not have to be chosen in any particular order, just find a topic that interests you and learn away! Each topic challenge is worth one star and each gained star allows you to participate in one of five Superstars Halls of Fame.
How do you earn stars?
It's simple! All you have to do is drop off your answer sheet in the Superstars Club inbox located in the classroom. Ms. Abiera will then go over your answers at the end of the day and record the total number of stars gained on the Superstars chart. Your name will then be placed into one of the Superstars Halls of Fame depending on how many stars you have been awarded. Once you earn one star, your name will be placed in The Bronze Superstars Hall of Fame. You will then continue to complete other challenges in order to work your way up to The Diamond Superstars Hall of Fame. The following chart shows the criteria for belonging to the different Superstars Halls of Fame.
What happens after you become a Diamond Superstar?
Once you become a Diamond Superstar and reach a star award level of 84 (maximum), you will have the special privilege of conducting research and developing new questions to be added to the Superstars Club. Have fun and good luck!
