About The Teacher

Hello! My name is Colleen Sugg and I am your child's Kindergarten teacher 
this year.  I moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1997 from Buffalo, New York.  I 
began working on my Master's Degree in Education at USF and graduated in 
2000. Since 2000, I had been working in Hillsborough County where I taught 
Kindergarten and First Grade.  In 2007, I began teaching Kindergarten at 
Suncoast Academy.       
     My family is a huge part of my life outside of school. I have a 
supportive and wonderful husband Kevin and four children: Kelly, Sean, Ryan, 
and Erin. I enjoy playing tennis, swimming and spending time with my 
family.  The kids insist we swim almost every day!  
    This year will be full of learning, activities, field trips, and 
growing children. I am excited to watch your child learn and grow and 
develop new friendships.
