| We had a great time at the Atlanta History Center on Friday, and we even
missed the rain and sprinkles so we could eat outside on the patio. In the
Native American exhibit, we had an "information" scavenger hunt to find out
facts about the Native Americans that lived in Georgia.
Our next field trip is fast approaching. On December 3 (the week we return
from the Thanksgiving holidays), we'll be going to the Roswell Cultural Arts
Center to see "The Nutcracker." It will be interesting to compare this with
the performance we saw last year in First Grade at the Fox Theater.
>We will leave at 9:15, so chaperones should be at school by 9:00.
>Children may bring a toy, book, or other item to make the bus trip go more
quickly. Please clearly mark your child's name on the item...Webkins or
other stuffed animals should be put in a plastic bag for safe storage.
>Dress for the trip is Dress Uniform. Girls need to wear their sweaters; we
will probably leave outerwear on the bus if it's not too cold.
>Please send a substantial snack so that we can have a little in the morning
and the remainder when we return to school.
Upcoming Field Trips:
>Chattahochee Nature Center to visit the Star Lab to coordinate with our
science study of the stars and planets.
>The Georgia Aquarium (May)
We will probably schedule one more or make adjustments as needed in the
schedule, so come back and visit to find out specific dates and places.
