At Sarah Smith Elementary, we believe everyone has the right and

happen, a safe and positive school environment is essential.

To be the best, we will:
*Increase the emphasis on higher level learning and deepen the level of
   questioning in all curricular areas
*Foster students, faculty, staff, and parents' sense of ambition,
adventure,
   and well-being
*Contribute to the vitality of our community
*Advance Sarah Smith Elementary as a more diverse, robust intellectual
   community
*Strengthen the public profile of the school, the students/faculty/staff,
and
the value of a Sarah Smith education

The three major goals for long-term success are:
1. Provide all Sarah Smith students with a world-class academic foundation.
2. Establish Sarah Smith as the elementary school recognized as having the
best faculty, staff, and administrators in Atlanta.
3. Contribute to the vitality of our community within our halls and beyond
our doors.

Action plans with specific strategies for the major objectives are being
development and revised. For a copy of Sarah Smith Elementary's long term
