>>>FREE College Connection Service provided by Peterson's Student Networks for 10th, 11th, and 
12th grade students

1.  Competitive Colleges Student Network Program
"Designed to match high-achieving, motivated students with institutions looking for highly 
motivated, successful candidates.  Preferably those in the top 10% of class.  Go to 
http://www.petersons.com/studentnetworks.  Click on the first option and use the following 
access code:     High School Code:  180533     Password:  HGC-CC
Complete the electronic form and register and a free PDF version of Peterson's Competitive 
Colleges - Top Colleges for Top Students will be available for downloading."

2.  Regional Colleges Student Network Program
"For all students interested in attending college closer to home.  Participating students will 
receive information from schools in their geographic area, generally within 200 - 300 miles of 
their home.  Go to http://www.petersons.com/studentnetworks.  Click on the option that states "I 
have received an ID Code and Password for the Competitive or Regional colleges student online 
survey. . ." and use the following access code:  High School Code:  180533    Password:  HGC-RG
Complete the electronic form and register and a free PDF version of all 6 regional guides will 
be available for downloading."

>>> Attention high school sophomores and juniors:  Xavier University is offering a special two-
week residential program for students interested in pre-medicine or criminalistics/forensic 
science June 14 - 28.  Cost $2,100 includes tuition, on-campus housing, meals, activities, books 
and supplies.  Scholarships are available.  For more information, contact Krista Warner at

>>>CLEP Testing
What is CLEP?  The College-Level Examination Program gives students the opportunity to receive 
college credit for what they already know by earning qualifying scores on any of the 34 CLEP 
Examiniations.  At least 2,900 colleges and universities will accept passing CLEP Examination 
scores for college credit.  Visit www.collegeboard.com/clep for more information.

>>>Washington University in St. Louis High School Summer Scholars Program
for high school students entering their senior year.  Two sessions will be offered (June 8 - 
July 12 or July 13 - August 15).  For more information and application materials visit:

recommendations, transcript requests, etc. printed off and turned into the appropriate people.
