Mission Of The Department

"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for
good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. . . When you pray, I
will listen, you will find me when you seek me, if you look for me in
earnest." Jeremiah 29:11-13

In light of the scriptural truth from Jeremiah 29, the Guidance Department
seeks to help each CCS High School Student successfully fill the role God
has for them. This is accomplished through:

Gazette newsletters posted on the school web-site.

grade middle school classes.
> Administering EXPLORE, PLAN, PSAT, and ASVAB tests.
> Researching and informing students and parents of scholarship opportunities
> Counseling students on post-high school academic options
> Providing registration and test prep material for the ACT, SAT I and SAT
II tests
> Writing recommendations for college and scholarship applications
> Printing and mailing all transcripts for current students and alumni
> Inputting incoming students transcript information and all make-up classes
> Planning College Days, Career Days, and Career Crawl Day
> Facilitating student eligibility for Commonwealth Diplomas and Work Ethic
Diplomas
