Due December 2nd
3rd Period: Finish the TP_CASTT on "An Indian...." to turn in. Bring your textbook to class today. 5th period: Bring yor textbook to class today. Both: Check out the sample poetry analysis paragraph I posted in the handouts section. This will help you with the part of the poet project where you have to analyze the relationship between the poems and the poet's life. Due December 1st: Bring your textbook to class. Work on your poet project over the break as necessary. Remember not to lose your research over the break, otherwise you'll be scrambling next week! Due Thursday, Nov. 20th: Bring research materials (notecards, flashdrive, etc.) Due Tuesday, Nov. 18th: Bring your textbook to class. Due Wednesday, Nov. 19th: Bring your AR book to class. You also have a quiz today on the poetry terms handout I gave you, as well as the notes we took on ballads. Due Friday, Nov. 14th: Bring your textbook and AR book to class. 5th period: Also, have the letter I gave you signed by your parents. Wednesday, Nov. 12th: Please make sure that you have your textbooks in class today. Your vocabulary quiz on Unit 4 is on Thursday. **A special note to 5th period: I understand that some of you are upset about the 0 you currently have for the recent notebook check. I am also upset that most of the class feels that it is okay to talk during a quiz. Talking during a quiz constitutes cheating, and I am within my rights to give you a 0 on the assignment. Because so many of you were talking and showing me complete disrespect, I gave you a 0 on this assignment. I know that not everyone was talking, but so many of you were that I could not distinguish who was and who was not. I have decided that I will give you an alternate assignment to complete in place of this quiz. I am doing this to be fair to the few people who were not talking during this quiz. If you choose to do this assignment, I will count it in place of the 0 you received on the notebook check. This assignment will take place during class; if you open your mouth during it, your 0 will stand. I will also be sending home a letter to your parents. I hope that you will realize that when you show disrespect to the teacher and talk during individual assignments, the only person you're hurting is yourself.
Due Friday, Nov. 7th: Bring your AR book and reading log to class for AR reading time. You will NOT be let out of class to go get a book. Study that vocabulary! Your quiz is next week.
