How do I sign up for band?

Indicate on your registration form for Northwood High School by indicating
band as a choice of electives. With our 7 period schedule, students have
plenty of room in their schedule for participation in band along with the
other required courses for graduation. Students pursuing TOPPS scholarships
will also have little trouble participating in band while satisifying the
requirements for TOPPS.

Do I have to have my own instrument to participate in band?

We furnish the larger instruments such as tuba, french horn, baritone, and the
larger clarinets and saxophones. We also furnish percussion for marching and
concert band as well. Students who play the smaller woodwind and brass
instruments are asked to purchase their own instrument if they do not already
own an instrument.
