TEXT:  Understanding Psychology, Glencoe/McGraw Hill, 1995

OBJECTIVE:  This course is not the study of what makes people “tick” or how to “get into someone’s head”.  It is the study of how and why humans behave the way they do in various situations.  Understanding human behavior helps each person become the best they can be, and helps our interactions with other people.  This elective course is an overview of the subject of psychology, and is designed to be less strenuous and more informational than other academic courses.  Some study and work will be required; however the amount of work will be limited to enable students time to work on more rigorous subjects.
