SCIENCE FAIR TIMELINE 2007-2008 Dear Parents, Students may work as individuals or in groups, but only two students in a group and both students must have the same science teacher. Please understand that while we encourage students to work cooperatively, there are drawbacks to working in groups. We all know that sometimes one member does more work than the others do on the project. No matter the amount of work a student completes in the group project, every member of that group will receive the same grade. This may be an issue for you to discuss with your student. Another issue is that when they work in groups, different schedules make it difficult to meet. The due dates will not change because of a conflict in schedule. Note: It is up to the teacher to determine if projects are challenging enough to require two students.
Following is a tentative list of tasks and due dates.
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: 1. Pick up a packet of the rules and regulations from your teacher. 2. Follow all timelines and guidelines. 3.
