Dear Families,
We will be celebrating Halloween on Friday, October 30, 2009. Students are
invited to bring in their Halloween costumes to wear in the classroom and then
in the Halloween parade. Please remember that children may not wear face
paint or bring any toy weapons with their costumes to school. The Halloween
parade will begin at 2:15 p.m.
We are very busy in our classroom. I have listed below the current units we
are working on in room 214.
Science: Rocks & Minerals
Writing: Writing Complete Sentences
Reading: Strategies to attack unknown words
Math: Measurement and Graphing
Phonics: Syllables (vowel-consonant-e, R-controlled)
