| | During the 2006-2007 school year, GT English students decided to create a
permanent Folly Quarter Memorial in honor of all those who were victims of and
survived the Holocaust. Students did not want to think of only those who
experienced holocaust during WW II, and so they also collected money to send
to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum to aid the Darfur region in the
Sudan.
The inspiration for this project came from students such as themselves living
in Germany during WW II. Please see the link below to learn about the first
White Rose Project.
GT Parents,
If you are able to volunteer during the day, please email me to let me know
what days/times you are available to help as the students prepare for the
Holocaust Remembrance Night. This year, our event will be held the week prior
to Winter Break.
Thank you in advance for making this a memorial evening! http://www.iearn.org/hgp/aeti/aeti-1997/white-rose.html
